Claude AI directly in Blender: natural language for BIM/IFC workflows. No pip, no external configuration.

About the Addon

The Claude BIM Assistant integrates Anthropic Claude as a Blender addon for native IFC/BIM workflows with Bonsai. Create elements with natural language, analyse models via viewport screenshots, and maintain conversation history across multiple requests, all directly inside the Blender interface. Version 1.4.0, Blender 4.0+, MIT License. An Anthropic API key is required to use the addon (pay-as-you-go, typically a few cents per session).

Installation

  1. 1Open Blender 4.0+
  2. 2Edit → Preferences → Add-ons
  3. 3Click "Install from Disk..." and select the downloaded .py file
  4. 4Enable the addon by checking the box in the list
  5. 5Enter your Anthropic API key in the addon preferences (pay-as-you-go, no subscription)
  6. 6Press N in the 3D Viewport to open the sidebar and find the «Claude» panel
